Positive Benefits supported the creation and supports the implementation of a new international foundation focus on the conservation and sustainably use of the oceans, seas and marine resources.
FAM was born in October 2020, as non-profit family-based private foundation, established by Ana Mendonça in honor of her father Pedro Mendonça and his greatest passions: the sea and people.
Pedro Mendonça was a lover of the sea and sailing, but above all he was a man of causes and action where the most important thing in life was people.
FAM Foundation mission is the protection of the sea and all natural water resources, ensuring their future, through the promotion of their knowledge through educational, environmental or scientific development in Portugal and in the world. Development of human potential in different domains through the promotion of education, awareness, research and empowerment of individuals or communities. Provide access to the well-being of the most disadvantaged communities by supporting organizations that work with them and develop their activity.

SDG 6 - Achieving universal and equitable access to safe drinking water for all. Improve water quality by reducing pollution. Support capacity building for developing countries in water-related activities and programs.
The secondary SDGs are the following:
SDG 4 - Promoting quality education so that all young people and/or adults acquire skills necessary for integral and sustainable development. Increase globally the number of scholarships, vocational training programs, technical and scientific programs, research programmes and sports and cultural activities in developed and developing countries.
SDG 3 - Ensuring a healthy life and promoting health and well-being for all people, at all ages.
Positive Benefits is committed to incorporate this powerful tool in every project we work on, identifying which of the 17 goals can the project relate to and creating specific solutions to achieve them.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
